Concept plan-1:
This concept plan is tailored for a small, low-maintenance rear garden in Wakefield by MP Landscape & Garden Design Ltd. My goal is to create an inviting outdoor space that seamlessly blends aesthetics with practicality. Here are the key features:
Indian Sandstone Paving with Cobble Set Border:
The main patios feature Indian sandstone paving, providing a warm and natural feel.
A cobble set border elegantly frames the patios, adding visual interest.
Timber Canopy and Fire Pit:
The first small patio boasts a cozy timber canopy, perfect for relaxing with a book or enjoying morning coffee.
From there, step down to the larger patio, where a fire pit awaits chilly evenings.
Existing Shed:
An existing shed in the bottom right corner serves as storage or a potential workshop space.
Brick Raised Beds for Planting:
Brick raised beds provide planting space for vibrant flowers, herbs, or even small shrubs.
These beds are strategically placed to enhance the garden’s visual appeal.
Single Rail Pergola with Trellis Panels:
A single rail pergola graces one side of the garden, offering partial shade and a vertical element.
Trellis panels on the pergola create a sense of privacy while allowing sunlight to filter through.
Symmetrical Trellis Panels:
Trellis panels also adorn the right and left boundaries of the garden.
These panels serve as a backdrop for climbing plants and add depth to the space.
Slate Chipping Mulch:
Over the planting areas, I recommend using slate chipping mulch.
It not only suppresses weeds but also provides a neat and cohesive look.
Concept plan-2:

Indian Sandstone Circles and Paving:
The garden revolves around Indian sandstone circles, adding visual interest and a sense of flow.
The main patios feature this elegant paving, creating distinct zones within the space.
Cobble Set Border for Patios:
A cobble set border elegantly frames the circular patios, emphasizing their shape.
This border adds texture and delineates the outdoor seating areas.
Timber Canopy and Fire Pit:
The first small patio circle boasts a cozy timber canopy, perfect for intimate gatherings or solitary moments.
From there, you step down to the larger patio circle, where a fire pit awaits chilly evenings.
The fire pit is partially enclosed by a low brick wall, providing seating and a cozy ambiance.
Existing Shed:
An existing shed in the bottom right corner serves as storage or a potential workshop space.
Trellis Panels for Privacy:
Trellis panels grace both the right and left boundaries of the garden.
These panels offer privacy while allowing sunlight to filter through.
Slate Chipping Mulch:
Over the planting areas, we recommend using slate chipping mulch.
It not only suppresses weeds but also provides a neat and cohesive look.
